Hey All! It’s that time of the week when I get to politely inject your skulls with some ear candy to boot!
Lots of exciting things going on at the Ghetto Funk HQ at the moment, Gigs, releases, give-aways.. OH how this is going to be a good year! Anyone else counting the days until sunrise festival? I think next time Ghetto Funk will probably take over the main stage as well, seeing as the Ghetto Funk Nightclub is going to be JAM PACKED!
And for all you homies down south, I think you can get rather excited as well.. I don’t think I would be wrong in stating that Stickybuds, B-side and Defunk all have tours of Australia and New Zealand in the next few months or so. That almost makes me feel a little bit homesick, as we all know that parties like that go OFF in New Zealand. But the grass is always greener (especially in NZ, lots of green grass everywhere) so I will have to concentrate on the epic summer we have coming up in the UK instead!
Moving on to the tasty tunes I have for ya’ll this week.. I decided to choose a mix that recently won a competition thrown by Radical Mixtape. The mix is by AirForce:Son from Park City, Utah, in the States. It’s great to see Ghetto Funk reaching our friends in the bottom half of North America, because lets face it.. the Canadians are ALL OVER IT like Cheese on Poutine.. So well done and keep spreading the funky biz all over the joint!
