Becks & Chapel Street’s mecca of good times, BlueBar330 are going EXTRA LARGE as they present the second in a series of gigantic parties, upsizing their weekly dose of booty shakin’ party music by bringing to you Australia’s don of heavy hitting midtempo breaks, BUSTA!

With special guests Matty Blades & Citizen.com (The Brotherhood Of Beats) a dynamic bass duo combining fine turntablism and premium funky breaks. Plus support from Phaturdays residents DJ Ayna (Melbourne’s All City Turntable Queen) who’s been blowing up the scene with her well regarded mixtapes and dance floor filling brand of Nu-Funk, plus Tom Showtime (Ghetto Funk/Booty Fruit) riding high from his recent #1 Best Selling Release on Juno Download ‘The Chippa Irie EP’ and his recent signing to the Ghetto Funk label. Warming up the place on the 1s and 2s from 9pm.

Expect colossal beats, massive Hip Hop classics, heavyweight bass & an enormous selection of drinks, plus huge amounts of ‘hands in the air’ as this tremendous night gets bigger and bigger…

Busta‘s unique heavy hitting Midtempo sound has kept dance floors hype worldwide since 2010. Representing Australia, Ghetto Funk & Bombastic Jam, the last three years have witnessed Busta flourish into an extremely promising DJ/Producer. Rapidly approaching his 20th official record label release, Busta’s music spans across 15 record labels from all corners of the globe – On more than one occasion his music reaching pole positions on Juno bestseller charts & Soundcloud’s “Hot Tracks” chart respectively. Since then, Busta has cemented his name as one to watch in & amongst the worldwide Ghetto Funk music scene – Earning himself the chance to murder it at a whole new level, Busta picked up an array of peak time slots at some of the biggest & best parties & festivals – Including the world renowned Shambhala Festival, Soundwave Festival & Regrooved events in Canada, Australia & New Zealand.
Late 2012 see’s Busta team up with Vancouver’s #1 party rocker and fellow Bombastic Jam artist Timothy Wisdom. Having just written a huge original 4 track EP together, they have just recently returned from touring the UK & Europe where they took their unique globally collaborated sound to the masses.

Matty Blades and Citizen.com (Brotherhood of Beats DJs)

Citizen.com and Matty Blades have been pushing a unique blend of funk and soul to its edge in Melboure for over 7 years. Hosting Melbourne first dedicated Ghetto Funky / Party Glitch night at Workshop – Dropping Phat! – their 6 year residency set the building blocks for the Brotherhood of Beats.
Both DJs and Producers in their own right, they team up to deliver high energy sets. Putting on a show with 4 decks, 2 CDs and 2 mixers is the true nature of their back to back performances. From delivering epic sets in-between FreQ Nasty and the Freestylers, NYE @ Trust Us, opening up the stage for Krafty Kuts and A-Skills, NYD @ Tribe, performing at outdoor festivals such as Earth 2012 + 2013, collaborating with vocalists and MCs for live shows, all the way to the humble sets to smaller Melbourne drinking holes; they guys are always on the move and pushing forward into new directions.
Fusing the various sounds of Hip-hop, Funk, Ghetto Bass, Glitch, Drum and Bass and revisited classics, along with the unmistakable sound of Matty Blades on the scratch and fader, you can expect to leave the dance floor with a big smile on your face!!
